According to NCL, photography and video recording of the show are prohibited, I'd assume due to copyright laws.

IMHO it's worth it. If you want to save a few bucks go of Saturday, there's usually a discount offered.

We booked for the first night so we got 20% off our floor seats. We enjoyed the show and felt it was worth the cost for the hour of entertainment and 3 course meal. There is a Q&A session with the magicians the morning of the last sea day. If you're still not sure, I would watch that (they do a few tricks) and see if you enjoy it before booking - but it may be sold out by then.

Maybe you could just read some reviews? There have been several of them, and so far nearly all I've seen are positive.

Six thumbs up from everyone in our party for the Illusionarium show. Worth the extra money in our opinion. As has been mentioned in other posts opt for the premium seating and arrive early for the best experience.

They do not allow you video or take pictures during any of their shows.

 

However, I have seen a few "teasers" on youtube.
