need2cruisesoon Posted April 20, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 20, 2014 It is but it isn't. The ban was lifted a couple months ago by a regional Italian court. aquilegia Posted April 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2014 So it's old news that the ban has been lifted, for now anyway. So why are you posting under a heading saying cruise ships banned?
Alex71 Posted April 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2014 We just returned from a week long trip on the Fantasia and I have to say sailing out of Venice was spectacular. The ship did stir up a lot of sand though, so I can't blame them for wanting to ban large ships from sailing thorugh Venice.
