MauiLvrs Posted April 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2014 If they were as effective cleaning the Star as the were the Crown and one could expect that they were ... then one would expect all to be normal. Of course that would depend whom brings what onboard with them

brianlojeck Posted April 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Here's the thing... There is Norovirus on you right now. The cold, the flu, and more. By sheer numbers, only 10% of the cells in your body are "you"... The rest are all kinds of bacteria, germs, and other tiny things. (Your cells win by mass, though.) The same applies to every other passenger. They do an excellent job of cleaning their ships, but you must always be cautious and, like in a boxing match, protect yourself at all times... chengkp75 Posted April 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Even after the most thorough deep clean, where every living virus is killed (if there was a way to determine that), all it takes is one infected person to touch a surface that was sanitized with Virkon and completely virus free, to start the whole cycle over again. I can not offhand think of any cruise (there may have been one or two) in the 150+ cruises I worked where there were NO GI illnesses onboard.
