sealed beer question?

hello friends

When you get a beer will it be sealed in the bottle?

Reason asking is that i would like to have a couple beers in my room say later that evening?

You can certainly ask for the beer NOT to be opened....as long as you aren't on the alcohol package, you can buy more than 1 beer at a time, if you wish.

Ask the bartender not to open it. That is what DH does. Just make sure you pack a bottle opener. :D

Buy one of their beer bags, ($10) they hold ice and beers, (so will keep it colder than the little fridge in your room) and have an opener attached. You're set wherever you go on the ship!

I have had the best luck finding the beer bags at whatever bar is on the pool deck.

We got ours at the pool bar also, the bartender actually had to go to another bar to get them, but by doing so he guaranteed himself loyal customers for the week. Before we left I had been warned here on CC that we needed to get the bag early as they run out, (maybe early in the week?), when I asked for 1 before we even set sail the bartender laughed and said "already?". :D

You can purchase a beer bag, but the beer bag is not included with any of the packages.

I buy 6 beers, cans or bottles daily and always say I don't want them opened and it's never a problem. I bring a soft sided cooler and the first thing I request from the room steward is to make sure it's always filled with ice to keep the beers cold. You don't have to buy the cooler bag they offer to do this.

What i guess i will have to do as we plan on being on a drink package is that on heading back to the cabin for any reason to just stop by a bar and get a sealed beer as they would not just give me 5 or 6 at a time.
