I'm beginning to think my Alaska cruies plans are jinxed.

The first cruise was cancelled because my mom was diagnosed with cancer and we weren't sure if she was going to be able to go on the cruise (she's doing great now). Rescheduled it for Aug 30 - May 6 on the Golden. Now I found out this past Thursday that I'm being transferred to a new city (Miami) in June, so I'm not sure I'm going to be able to take it. I'm starting to think I should just give up on the idea of going to Alaska until next year, lol.

You know what they say, everything happens for a reason. :)

I hope it works out! Often companies will honor existing travel plans if you indicate them at the start of the job. Alaska will be worth it when you get to go! Praise God your mom is thriving!

Lots of new employers will allow you to take that vacation if you tell them right away. Hopefully that happens for you. How wonderful it will be to celebrate Alaska with your mom in good health. Enjoy each other and your trip.
