Kittybork Posted May 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2014 I just received an e-mail from Carnival that if you plan to cancel the cruise due to itinerary changes, the 12th of May is the deadline. After that, the cancellation will fall under normal rules.
springs741 Posted May 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2014 Thanks for posting. I know there are cruisers that are not understanding the time frame to cancel with full refund. When these changes were first announced many posted they would wait until closer to sailing to determine if they were going to cancel. I understood the time line as Three weeks from notification to cancel or not. I think others thought three weeks before cruise. Good to know Carnival is sending out emails but I also know there are going to be folks complaining about how Carnival won't refund their money when they decided to cancel their cruise three weeks before sail date. By the way, we just got off the Miracle in Seattle on 5/6/14. It was awesome and I encourage all those that are booked to keep your reservation and just look at the changes as little hiccups in life. Kittybork Posted May 7, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted May 7, 2014 I hope people pay attention to the date. I would feel terrible if people were forced to keep a cruise where they're not happy with the itinerary. Talk about a bunch of grouches on the boat! SoCalKJ Posted May 8, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2014 I got the email, also. It took a lot of sweet-talking and schedule accommodations at our jobs to get this time off. We're definitely still going. I personally am still absolutely okay with the changes and plan to have a blast!! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

nybumpkin Posted May 8, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 8, 2014 We're not canceling either. We'll miss Ketchikan, but like the additional time in Juneau and Victoria. And we already have our 25% off applied to our next cruise. My only problem is that now they've changed the fixed dining times to 5:30 and 7:45, and 5:30 is just too darned early for us. When I tried to change to Your Time Dining I got waitlisted. This may be the first cruise where we have dinner on the Lido deck at least once.... SadieN Posted May 8, 2014 #13 Share Posted May 8, 2014 I didn't get an email but does the cancelation include the December 6, 2014 cruise ?Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app It's not affecting the HI cruises. Friends were on the April HI cruise and they were completely unaware of any problem. We are still going on our October HI cruise.
