12 Night South Pacific Cruise

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm considering cruise 2 dates - 31 January to 12 February 2015 or 31 March to 12 April 2015 on Radiance of the Seas. Does anyone have experience of these from previous years, and which one may be better weather wise? Any other observations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I spent 10 days in Tahiti in early February this year and the weather was warm but very wet at times. Probably 50% of the days it rained at some point. One day so hard, that they cancelled an excursion. On the other hand I sailed these waters in February 2013 and had excellent weather. The rainy season is supposed to be November to March though.

The earlier one is more at risk of cyclone weather. This can mean diversions and as mentioned above, more chance of rain. It is also a hotter time, hotter than I prefer, although some who like the heat like that.

Both times have chance of overlap with school holidays. I like a younger age group, but some don't. :-)
