GorillaPod Recommendations for Brinno TLC

I want to purchase a Brinno TLC for use when cruising. I would prefer to mount it on my balcony railing or chair with a GorillaPod, but I'm not sure which one.

(p.s. I will be taking a canon 5DMKII with 150-600mm lens, tripod and monopod, but I would like to keep those available for use at all times and not tie them up with the TLC)

According to the specs, the Brinnos weigh 120g (0.25 lbs) without batteries. That might not seem like much but remember that you are on a moving ship and there will be dynamic forces. I would suggest the heaviest duty gorillapod model you can find such as the SLR-Zoom or the Focus.

I would never ever attach my camera to my balcony railing w anything unless I also had it tethered.

I do plan on securing it, but first I would need to attach it to some sort of tripod, i.e. gorilla pod.

 

I doubt I will have it attached the entire trip. My main purpose is during the day at Glacier Bay, at which time I will be on my balcony most of the day with my camera/tripod, so I will be there to monitor it.
