meltingmoments Posted May 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2014 Well I was TOTALLY thrown by the answers to this question! :o The term *wine cooler* has a different meaning here in the UK......... *wine cooler: a bucket of ice used to chill a bottle of wine* I had NO idea it could mean* the commercial adaptation of various drinks made with fruit juice and wine * You learn something new every day! :D
NLH Arizona Posted May 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 11, 2014 You could bring the wine and then get the mixers and make your own wine coolers.

sdmike Posted May 12, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 12, 2014 You might want to read post before yours. They are talking about something different. I believe the OP is still asking about wine/fruit wine coolers. The others referring to a "wine chiller" are not the OP. The fact that the OP asked "how many" and how to bring them on the ship, I'm pretty sure they meant the Seagrams, or B&J version. And the answer is no :)

Off the ship for 2 days and things are still moving - but not my brain.
bakerintn Posted May 12, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 12, 2014 The common pre-bottled "wine coolers" in the US are not made with wine. They actually are made from a malt liquor (beer) and therefore do not technically qualify as "wine". Something like a pre-bottled Sangria might pass. You could make your own on board with a red wine and lemon-lime soda.

I'm guessing the margarita wouldn't be allowed, however, it IS the size and shape of a wine bottle! Lol I'm guessing they'd say no.
dread_pirate Posted May 12, 2014 #14 Share Posted May 12, 2014 I believe it was Sir Winston Churchill who said "England and America...two great nations separated by a common language". :) Actually, it was George Bernard Shaw (he of "Pygmalion" fame, later adapted to "My Fair Lady"). True nonetheless!
