ccruisequeen Posted May 14, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2014 (edited) Also depends on the time of year. Summer cruises are higher than those around the fall and winter Edited May 14, 2014 by ccruisequeen
Purvis1231 Posted May 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Supply and demand, I have noticed that it is not just Galveston but all ports often the 4 day is more than a 5 day. I would try to arrange my schedule for the 5 day.

ragen Posted May 14, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Any cruise that includes weekends are slightly higher than short cruises that fall Between M-F, because more demand for short weekend cruises due to passengers needing less days off work to do them, as opposed to missing a whole week at work for midweek cruises. beachbum53 Posted May 14, 2014 #11 Share Posted May 14, 2014 Also depends on the time of year. Summer cruises are higher than those around the fall and winter Consider "off-peak" times, when prices are lower. One example: There is a two to three week period between the end of Spring Break (usually around the end of April) and the beginning of the Summer vacation season (Memorial weekend) that is considered "off-peak". On most cruises, you'll see a drop in prices for that time period. To determine when other off-peak times occur, and lower prices are in effect, you'll need to go to Carnival's website, go to "Find A Cruise", then start "shopping".;)
Leo's Rule Posted May 14, 2014 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2014 I am trying to possibly plan a trip this fall for my boyfriend and I leaving Galveston and the prices are confusing me. All I know is I was Born To Cruise.. Love, Miranda Out of Galveston, the 4 days leave on Saturdays & the 5 days typically leave on a Thursday. The powers that be knows more people will leave on a weekend vs a weekday; hence the higher price. SadieN Posted May 14, 2014 #13 Share Posted May 14, 2014 If you can leave last minute, sometimes the Pack n Go guarantee rate can be very good.
