Need help on Port Charges ?

Are port charges refunded if someone has to cancel their cruise after final payment? I'm trying to calculate total trip cost for insurance purposes. I called Celebrity and was told that the port charges would be refunded but would like to confirm this. The cancellation info on my Booking Confirmation states that the Cancellation Amount is 100% of the Total Price 14 to 0 days prior to sailing. Thanks, Shirley

Yes, it is normal to refund port charges if you cancel. Your forfeit amount is based on the fare.

Port charges, taxes as well as prepaid gratuities are refunded.

You will lose the entire fare for the cruise itself. They have to refund port charges, taxes, and any prepaid gratuities that you paid.
