Has anyone stayed in a Balcony (on the Royal Princess) - Forward Lido Or Marina?

Is there a lot of motion? Noise?

Convenient or not?

Thank you in advance!

Our friends stayed Lido forward. Noise wasn't a factor and it stayed dry in the rain, huge cover from upper deck. Motion could be a factor as if depends on the seas. Lido is very convenient to pools and horizon court. International Cafe, casino, and theater are a straight shot down. We love the Lido deck and find it very convenient. Elevators were a minor issue on the Royal forward, but hopefully that glitch will be resolved. Try the Lido on the Royal, I think you will be pleased!

We stayed in L104 last month and there was no noise or motion issues. It was very convenient as we could go to the pool and Horizon Court without waiting for the an elevator. We have the same cabin booked for 3 more cruises.

We just got off the Royal. We were in M233, a minisuite. There were balcony cabins right next to us. We had cabins above and below us so it was very quiet. No problem with motion. Fairly convenient - I am used to being in the aft of the ship where it is convenient to Horizon Court. This location wasn't too bad because we just had to go up one deck and walk across to HC. The only problem with that was that the deck was always wet from the pool. I did like the forward elevators because you have full access to the rest of the ships when you get off at decks 5 and 6. You can't do that from the aft elevators, you have to go to 7 and then mid-ship to get to 5 or 6.

We stayed in Marina 123 if I remember correctly. It was one of the quietest locations I've ever been in. The Royal Princess really seems to ride the waves smoothly. I was prepared for a rough ride, but it never came to fruition.

I have stayed twice on Marina deck forward of the forward elevators and love the location. Cabins above you so very quiet. No motion problems and a good sea view from the balcony. You have to look way down to see something other than lifeboats. I really don't like looking down on them. 1 deck up to Lido and easy access to Horizon Ct. and Sanctuary if you use it. Not a lot of vibration from the engines. We are staying on Marina again in March.
