We are a group of eight renting vans and have a 5 p.m. flight. What would be good to see in the area if we get off the ship as quickly as possible?

Thank you!

Moody gardens would be cool. The Pleasure pier if you have kids.

Can ride across the Ferry (free) if want. Check out The Strand shops.

5pm flight out of where? hobby. better be on the road by 3ish. IAH then maybe 2pm ish

could stop at Johnson space center in Clear lake, which is on the way to either airport.

if you want to have lunch and people watch on Galveston then The Spot, on the seawall is cool, sit upstairs on the balcony.

you can google the above places for more info.

We've had a hundred years or so to think up nifty things to amuse ourselves, so the question is, what kinds of things interest you? We have the tall ship Elissa, launched in 1877, moored nearby. You could check out candy-making and get an actual soda jerk to serve you at La King's. Architect types might enjoy the strand, Bishop's palace, and Moody Mansion. In Houston, we have art museums galore, and England has decided to loan the HMNS a 1217 edition of the Magna Carta and the only known example of King John's writ for the summer, so there's all that on top of what's already been said. What are your party's interests?
