Gifts Onboard

Does HAL offer gift wrapping service at their on board stores? We are thinking of buying a gift for a fellow passenger for their birthday and would like to have it wrapped.

Sorry, I don't think they do, but I am sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong.

Plan ahead and pack some flat sheets of wrapping paper, a small roll of scotch tape and a flat ribbon and you can wrap it quickly yourself. :)

 

Or bring a gift bag and some tissue paper. :)

I have never seen any gift wrapping paper in the shops.

My experience with gift wrappping goes back 7 years, so it's not recent. I purchased perfume in the gift shop and mentioned to the clerk that it was a birthday gift for DD and that I'd be giving it to her at dinner that evening. She asked if I'd like it gift wrapped, and produced white and blue nautical themed gift wrap and wrapped it for me.

 

It was unexpected and very nice, but as Sail said, take your own wrap or a gift bag just in case.

It can be done. Some friends bought a gift onboard, and had it gift wrapped. An additional fee may apply.
