Live review Allure of the Seas May 25th Eastern Caribbean

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the delay in posting pics from the sailaway party and last night. I forgot my camera in our room last night so I couldn't take pics of our food in the MDR, but we're on board having a great time. The platinum package is definitely worth it in my opinion for the amount of drinks we're having. I also might have too many drinks last night as well.

My wife and I decided to get the Vitality Thermal spa treatment which has been great plus we got massages this morning instead of going on shore in Nassau. I didn't have a strong need to go on shore in the Bahamas and wanted to treat my wife to a massage which I must say was amazing despite being overpriced.

If anyone is a Mlife gold, platinum, or Noir member you get some pretty good benefits on board the ship such as a free specialty dinner, no seapass cash advance fee, free drink coupons, and a welcome gift. Here's what they sent up to our statement.

Absolutely loving the review and pictures !

We are scheduled to sail her over Labor Day and can't wait.

One question. What was muster drill like? We are Celebrity-ites, and there you assemeble inside the ship at certain location depending on your stateroom, watch a film, learn how to put on a life vest, and it's over. No putting on the vest and standing out on the deck. What was it like on Allure?

Both my wife and I have some challenges with standing too long is why I am asking. If we have to we have to, but if we don't, so much the better.

Again, thanks so much for the review.

The muster drill was pretty similar to your experience on Celebrity. You watch a safety video and learn how to put on a life vest. In terms of standing around you might have to stand for a little bit depending on your muster area. Our muster area was at the Ocean theater and there were a lot of people standing besides all the people sitting in the theater seats.

Day 2

I probably need to do a better job keeping up with the live review but I'm having an absolute blast on Allure. I took a picture of the lobster bisque in the MDR but didn't take a picture of the filet and desert which=food porn fail. But we didn't get off the boat in Nassau today because of our massage's this morning and the ship was leaving port at 2. But today was a great relaxing day on our vacation and we saw Ocean Aria tonight which we enjoyed. I have been taking full advantage of the premium package with water, soda, and cocktails.

And then Kent had a brain fart and forgot to take a picture of the Filet and strawberry cheesecake.

Vintages and some tapas(again some food porn fail) We had 3 croquetta's at Vintages which were delicious. I was happy with my glass of Moscato D'Asti

And a towel pig or puppy depending on your point of view

Off to bed and the meet and mingle tomorrow morning at Dazzles. I've had too many cocktails tonight.

I just got off the Allure Sunday. I see the sea pass printer is working now. Our passes didn't show the dining info so they were writing it on with a black magic marker. We pulled out late so didn't get to watch sailaway because we were in the MDR by that time.

Day 3 so far....

Woke up this morning to go the meet & mingle at Dazzles. I swear we're having zero luck in raffles this trip, we didn't even win a door prize at the meet & greet. But after that we headed up to the Solarium for some nice quiet sun and reading time. I appreciate the Solarium more after how crazy the pools were yesterday. Lunch today was courtesy of Johnny Rockets plus watching the sexiest man contest with a quick trip to the Thermal spa. We're doing the cupcake cupboard class next..

Day 3 more pics....

This afternoon we did a cupcake making class which was supposed to be a puppy. When you see the pictures you can guess which one is mine and which one is my wife's. Plus we walked around the ship watching the kid's on the flowrider.

Can you tell me who the headliner is on your cruise?

Earl Turner is the headliner tonight, I've never heard of him. I'll tell you how he is after we see his show tonight.

You need to call the Royal Mlife desk before you go on your cruise and they'll verify your status with Mlife. Once on board just go to the casino host the first night and they'll give you the Mlife sticker which gives you your free drinks plus they'll make your specialty dining reservation for you. We're going to 150 Central Park tonight for our specialty dinner.

Day 4..so far

We're in St. Thomas this morning although the weather throughout the day was pretty cloudy and the sun wasn't truly able to break through. There was a brief spell of rain but for the most part it was cloudy all day. Norwegian Getaway and Carnival Conquest were in port today as well. Knowing this I booked a day pass through resortforaday.com and we were able to go to the Marriott Frenchman's reef and morningstar beach. The property is pretty nice and had a lot of iguana's running around.

150 Central Park

My wife and I got a free specialty dinner through Mlife and we decided to try 150 Central Park. The food here was absolutely delicious and if you want something different than Chops or Giovanni's table this place is excellent. The 6 course tasting menu is absolutely delicious along with the smoked sea-salts. I honestly would rather come here than Chops mainly for the different variety of flavors you can enjoy. In my opinion you can get a good steak anywhere but when you have a James Beard award winner doing the menu, it's something you should definitely try.

Day 5 morning

We docked this morning in beautiful St. Marteen, we decided to do the St. Marteen beach rendezvous tour which placed us on the french side at Orient Beach. The Orient Beach club is decent and they had bathroom facilities, a restaurant where lunch was included and beach chairs waiting for us to use. The weather was pretty great during our excursion and the next time we come back to St. Marteen hopefully we can make it to Maho Beach so we can see all the planes land.

We're still in port at St. Marteen waiting for the ship to leave and we'll be off to dinner tonight and the comedy show. Cheers everyone!!
