Cozumel transportation

WE are a family of 9 cruising Freedom of seas in 3 weeks. We plan to visit the Chankanaab Park. What is the best transportation to the park? IF we have to take 2 taxis it would be at least $30 for 1 way. Please advise.

Also, I found a 2 for 1 coupon on cc. Is does not have an expiration date.

Will it be redeemed?

The easiest is 2 cabs, less stress than having to meet a prearranged larger van, then you would have to stay with a set time to leave. 2 cabs are ALWAYS at port and the park, some vehicles are larger than others. The larger vans would charge per person so you may not save any money anyway.

 

Coz is our favorite island and Chankanaab is our fav place. Can't wait to go, again.

Do not bother to change US dollars into Pesos -- the US Dollar is widely accepted all over Cozumel. Just bring lots of smaller bills - those cab drivers never seem to have change when you bring out a $20.

We have never used anything except dollars in Cozumel. We always take small denominations so we don't have to worry about getting change back.

We have been to Cozumel many times always with a larger group. They have big vans at the port that held us all. It was cheaper per person and more fun to stay together. Always used dollars with no issues
