Solstice in Juneau on June 23 - tendering?

Have read some about ships tendering in Juneau? Last time we just docked it. Too many boats in one port? How can I tell if we'll tender or dock?

We docked in Juneau on May 26th and were told they are still alternating docking dates with Holland America. This appears to be the case, as the Holland America ship was tendering on that day. Based on the alternating docking schedule, I would surmise that you will be docking on June 23rd. Note that AJ Dock is a long way from town, and I would suggest using the provided shuttles which terminate at the Mount Roberts Tramway. If I remember, it was around $4.00/person for an all day ticket, but some of the drivers weren’t even checking when picking up return passengers at the tramway. Enjoy your cruise!
