Sat1 Posted June 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Just "found" this forum, am 86, use a walker. Any problems on/off tenders? Was able to do so in Belize.:)
mrsfuzzmo Posted June 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2014 Shouldn't be any different than in Belize. There are usually double decker tenders that you board, so there may be a couple of steps up or down to each level. There will be people there helping get you on and off the tender, but you may need to negotiate some steps once onboard. Tender ride is short and sweet! cb at sea Posted June 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2014 A long as you CAN walk, you're fine. It's folks who can't walk at all that have it bad on tenders....
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2014 You will also receive assistance from the crew as you get into and out of the tender. Keith
Capt_BJ Posted June 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Tender ride is short and sweet! TRUE and a big difference 'tween Bel' and Cayman .... the Cayman ride is very short ... usually no more than a mile, often no more than half that.

The Belize tender ride was the longest I've ever been on! Glad this one is much quicker/shorter!
dcherry Posted February 3, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2015 Don't know what time of year you are going but I was just there (Jan 27) and we almost didn't make it off the ship. The water was too rough for the tender boats at Georgetown. We had an awesome captain though and while the RC ship left, our captain brought us over to Spotts Bay to tender. Made it fine but the water was very choppy and the tender boats were bouncing up and down a lot by the side of the ship. So, if you run into that situation, make sure you have some help getting to and from your seat on the boat.
