Free cabin offers

We just completed our free cabin cruise on Sunday. I just received an email from Carnival today and it got me thinking. We were trying to figure out who got selected and why for this offer. I remember getting an email after our last cruise requesting me to fill out a survey about my on board experience which I did. It said that after I filled out the survey, I would be entered into a drawing for a free cruise.

 

Could this be how people were randomly selected? How many people that received the free cabin offer remember submitting a survey?

I did. But my free cruise was from the Casino, and SAYS it's from the Casino..

Nope, I highly doubt this is how they are selected considering in the last 2 years I have completed and submitted 6 after cruise surveys and I have not received the free cruise offer.

We (family of four) have all received and submitted post-cruise surveys. Not one of us have received a "free cruise" offer.

When we were offered a free cruise last fall, I was told it was a random thing. My almost free upcoming cruise next month is a Casino promo.

We got the free cabin offer last year and had a great cruise on the Legend. Don't remember ever having filled out a survey. From the many posts on this subject, I believe the offers are sent out randomly as some peple have cruised many times or spent big in the casino and have posted they never received a free cabin offer. We recently got a casino offer that saved us $150.00 and then went down another $150.00. Any savings is a good thing.

No. The survey is always to me , and the free cabin letter was to my husband 'a VIFP#. It's random as far as we can tell. My neighbor hadn't sailed Carnival in years. & got the letter a couple months after we did .

My mom got the free offer from casino. Great offer! Free cabin was for inside but could upgrade for small fee for Ocean view and balcony. We are leaving Sunday on Freedom for 8 night and paid just over $800 for both of us in balcony cabin. Can't wait!

Generally these are sent to casino players. We do the same thing to casino players where I work. We give them 'free' offers based on their rate of play each month. :rolleyes:

We, too, always do the post cruise survey.....and NOPE....no freebie here either!! Our friends (six in total) who have all received the letter are NOT gamblers....so not all free offers for cruises come from the casino!

I got the offer today and am trying to book out of Galveston. It isn't showing up online like the others are. Called Carnival and they couldn't see it either. :(
