Hi, Have any of you been on the Carnival Conquest or the Carnival Glory recently..??!? AnD if so, which did you like or not like and which would you prefer?

They are sister ships so the layout and amenities are virtually identical. They have both had the 2.0 upgrades and the only notable difference that I can think of is that the Glory has the new American Table menu's and the Conquest has the old menu's that have been around forever.

The Conquest is the oldest of the two ships by a couple of years.

We r just getting off Glory today. We were on Conquest in March.

Glory has serenity area that Conquest didn't.

Cruise director is more personable.

Glory has new menu. We lost a few favorite meals but never lacked for a good choice. I like that the sides r seperate now. I don't get stuck w broccoli. Lol.

Downside of Glory... too many tank tops in dining room. They need a little class.

The casino hosts were not very cordial. And we do gamble a lot. Conquest hosts were a lot nicer. The drink servers were excellent on both ships.

I've been on both this year, and preferred Conquest. I definitely prefer the traditional dining arrangement, and Conquest was bright and shiny while Glory felt a bit worn. Service was better on Conquest, too.

I like the way Conquest is decorated as well. It's wonderfully weird.

Glory is my least favorite ship so far. Definitely seems more worn down than the Conquest. I also prefer the decor on the Conquest. The ONLY downside to Conquest is no Serenity Deck. Feel free to take a look at my Conquest and Glory reviews (link in my signature) to check out some pictures!

Just got off Glory for the 3rd time last month. Conquest in January. MUCH prefer Glory. Conquest had a smoke smell throughout some stairways/hallways and the Monet Dining room definitely reeked of must/mildew at least where we sat. Plus it is so dark and dingy in there. The colors are like blues and purples. It was kind of even hard to read the menus.

I was fully expecting Conquest to beat Glory as it was my first cruise ship having gotten married on her in December of 2003, it held a very special place in my heart. I was very disappointed that things weren't kept up as they should have been. There are areas that are prettier on the Conquest vs Glory, but the overall atmosphere was lacking. Service in the dining room was SLOW. I actually prefer the look of the new tabletops on Glory and the menu is a nice change. Oh, and I never got food poisoning on Glory, either. Can't say that for this last go-round on Conquest  And, yes, it was confirmed food poisoning (not Noro) by the ship's medical staff. Not a fun experience at all.

Also, the lack of Serenity on Conquest is a huge deal breaker for me. The CD Eversen on Glory is absolutely HILARIOUS! Gary Briarly on Conquest - not so much.

My vote once again goes to Glory. In fact, I'm thinking about doing another solo cruise this fall. Guess on where? You guessed it - Carnival Glory, here I come! :D If it was so bad, do you think I would have gone on it 3 times (possibly 4 times) in a year?!
