Purples Posted June 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Could someone please tell me what the bathtub in OV cabins are like please? Trying to decide if worth paying a bit extra for an OV rather than an inside.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I checked HALFacts and could not find a cabin showing the bath tub for an OV cabin. There were 3 OV cabins shown on the Oosterdam's sister ships -- but none showed the bath tub.
cruz chic Posted June 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2014 They are on the small side. Not like a tub you would have in your home. If you could be more specific, I may be able to help more.
RMLincoln Posted June 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2014 The floor of the tub is higher than the floor of the bathroom, making it more difficult to step over the edge of the tub, but there is a grab rail IIRC. They are shorter than the standard 60" tub but I do not have a measurement. They do give more "elbow" room for taking a shower compared to most showers. The reason for me to pay extra for an OV is for the couch not the tub, when compared to most of the Inside rooms. m--
Sam.Seattle Posted June 22, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2014 For me... I would not upgrade for just the tub. They are small and raised.

I don't find them to be that high on the newer ships.

I agree it is the "S" and "R" ships that have the high sided tubs. They all have grab bars in the right place which provide good support but the Vista and Signature Class ships tubs are not as high sided. On the other hand, the toilets in cabins on Veendam are extremely low.
