Royal Princess balcony vs mini suite

Are the balconies on the mini suites larger than on a balcony room? Are either of them covered? Are there life boats blocking your view in either one?
All Royal balconies are covered, they are all pretty much the same size although the angled balconies beneath the SeaWalk and SeaView Bar are a bit larger. Balcony cabins on Emerald deck may be partially obstructed. Here's a great website put together by a CC member Renmar: https://sites.google.com/site/royalregalprincess/home/8-emerald

Hi,

We recently cruised aboard the new Regal Princess (near twin of the Royal Princess) in a mini-suite with an angled balcony (R415). This stateroom was excellent and had a larger balcony with a wonderful view. There is less privacy on this balcony because the SeaWalk is overhead, but this was not a problem for us.

Thanks! We like mini-suites so are always on the outlook for good ones. :)

Thanks for posting this. We are going on a 12 day cruise in about a week on the Royal And this gives us pretty much an idea of what our "obstructed" balcony looks like... We can't wait!! Cheers!
