We have only cruised on the Disney Fantasy... And have LOVED Remy and Palo for fine dining. Does the regal have anything like that? ( not just the up charged pizzerias etc... But rather full dining experiences)

Do we need to make reservations as soon as we board?

Hi,

We recently cruised aboard the Regal Princess. This ship has two main specialty restaurants: Crown Grill (steakhouse) and Sabatini (Italian). We greatly enjoyed dinner at the Crown Grill one night. Also, the ship has Chef's Table experiences in the main dining rooms. I recommend making reservations when you first board (for the greatest availability).

The Princess website has quite a bit of information on dining on each ship, including menus. You just have to navigate to the ship and then Onboard Experience if you were unable to find it. To make it easy, here's a link to the Regal: http://www.princess.com/learn/ships/gp/amenities_publicrooms/personal_choice_dining/#.U6oOxom9LCQ

Not sure if it's mentioned in the above document but also offered is the Winemaker's Dinner.

Dinner surcharge applies:

Crown Grill; Steak, Seafood and Chops

Sabatini's; Italian

Lunch no surcharge:

Pub lunch in the Wheelhouse Bar

There is no charge for dining at Alfredo's Pizzeria, open from 11am onwards. A charge of $10 with wine was announced, but immediately withdrawn.

It is best to make reservations for the Crown Grill and Sabatini's soon after you board, but no need to rush there. Someone should be there from around 3pm. You can also call the DINE line during daytime hours.

Take a look at this website. It is for the Royal Princess, but the Regal is the sister ship and it will be the same. http://www.princess.com/news/backgrounders_and_fact_sheets/factsheet/Royal-Princess-Offers-Dining-Options-for-Every-Craving.html#.U6q5j0BoLoI
