Tell us...what did you actually pay?

Not to be rude however, my meaningful numbers are nobody elses business. Just like my annual income. Nunya

And I'm not really concerned as to what fare other people paid. I'm happy with my fare, I can only assume that you're happy with your fare.

I don't think asking what someone paid on a cruise comes even close to asking what someone their annual income is.

I am curious to see what I need to do to get the best cruise deal and to why someone might have paid less. Ex. Time of the year, casino offers, number of cruises.

For my last cruise, 8 day eastern carribean from Port Canaverl on Carnival Liberty in November 2014, I paid $300 in fares per person for an OV during a big 30 hour sale. With fares, taxes, port fees, gratuities, and travel insurance, we came out at less than $1100 for 2 people total.

My March 28 sailing on the Miracle for 4 people in 8J category ( bowling alley balcony) is $3536 including port fees but not gratuities with 50 dollars OBC. Used the Verizon Carnival egift cards to pay the entire cruise which saved me 10% for a total of $3182.40 for 4 people. A bit pricey due to spring break, but the balcony comes in handy with 4 people in a room.

Just booked us on the Victory this May for a five night cruise out of Miami. I received the casino offer and went with a balcony - so our total for two people is $416. Plus I have a $100 OBC.

These deals are too good to pass up. I usually sail RC, but when I get the Carnival Casino offers, I can't say no! :)

This price seems like a dream, please tell us how you managed such an exciting rate. I figure with gratuities at $84, insurance around $40, taxes and port fees at least $75 you paid just over $140 per person for a 7 day cruise. At that rate it would be cheaper to live on a cruise.

I got a casino pack & play offer $50 per person plus $100 onboard credit. I upgraded to the balcony for $120 per person. We were blessed. I was snail mailed this offer. Many of my family members bad the offer when they logged in to their VIFP offers.

I am one that doesn't mind sharing either... I think it is good see that there are MANY different price ranges and options if you look.

Booked an 8 night OV guarantee on Carnival Sunshine, feb 20, 2015 sailing:

399.00 each + 113.75 tax and port fees, total of 1025 for 2 for 8 nights.

got room assigned and very pleased to get a catergory 6D on deck 5 aft.

Everyone who is posting casino rates really do not help this thread. I like to know if i got a good deal so if i paid $349 a person i would like to hear at some point somebody got it at $299 a person or maybe $399 a person. The postings of free cruises or $50 rates really belong in a separate " Carnival hooked me up" thread.

Just my opinion of course.

I'm reading it for the casino rates. In actuality it should be in a roll call thread to get an idea of what someone paid on your cruise

AHOY SHIPMATES,

I read the threads daily and digest the prices paid and just as important....how they we're obtained.

I cruise about once a month and like to save as much as possible. I don't read the persons name because I will probably never meet them anyway. When I go grocery shopping I compare prices at different markets in order to get the best deal.....like buying a new car.

IF the info I get helps me obtain a better deal my happy....That doesn't make me any better than the next person, maybe just a little luckier this trip.

PLEASE continue to post and dont worry about "bragging" or being NOSEY if it helps the next guy save a little to spend on a "NEXT" cruise

SEA YOU SOON

I wouldn't book a cruise if I wasn't happy with the rate but I do like confirmation that I have gotten the best deal possible. That being said, I research like crazy and wait for offers. After I pull the trigger, I keep an eye out on one of the sites, like the cruise fish in the net, that show the rates and the historical rates for each cabin.

It also helps me see if there is another cabin category that I might like to move into, if the price drops on that. Sends me a nice email alert if the price drops so I don't have to keep checking.

I'm not a gambler and will never get a casino rate so I would compare my rate to the rates obtained by the regular folks. Those casino deals are AMAZING so enjoy them!!

Too much. $2054 for two in a 4F on the Splendor June 9th. 8 days, booked a year out with ES. So far one $60 price drop, spent $20 to upgrade to a 4J so at the moment $2014 for two in an interior with picture window. Would not have booked this cruise, but we did it to sail with friends.
