alainamarie Posted July 7, 2014 Author #26 Share Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) DVR the game. We're Falcons ST holders and our games are never popular enough to be shown ... I always know the score before I see the game, but still watch it when we get home. Actually, I DVR every game whether we're there it not. You never know what you'll miss or want to see in replay. Same here, I just love it live. My DVR will record all the games. I'm new to Celebrity, so I'm hoping a few Saints games are aboard! The ship does not pick the games. On Sunday afternoon they will show Fox and CBS games of the week and then SNF and MNF. The cruise line doesn't get to pick one game over another. If the Saints are playing an important game ($s for the network) you may see it onboard. If they are playing Jacksonville maybe not. Sorry Lois. As I posted earlier, we are Pats fans. Our home is in Florida and are often on a cruise ship. Whether it's land or sea, we're lucky to see more games than not because of the team (think Brady). The Saints are in the same category so maybe you'll be lucky. You're young, go have a great time on your cruises and if the Saints games are televised it's an added plus. nineteen Posted July 7, 2014 #28 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Do any other bars (public area)besides casino bar have tv's on the M class ships?
Rare Lois R Posted July 7, 2014 #29 Share Posted July 7, 2014 Hi Katie:)...LOL...thanks:eek: we are hoping to be a bit better this year... can't get much worse than we were:rolleyes: To the original poster....Katie is right, the ship has no control over showing one game over another.......a few Saints games?? How long are you cruising? Just use the DVR....then you won't have to worry about it. And who knows, maybe you will have such a good time you will be doing something else during gametime and won't miss it. Nineteen, no.....there are no sportsbars on the ships so if you are sailing on an M class, the casino would be the option....and your cabin. I'm a season ticket holder and love football as much as I love cruising. :D If I'm not occupied at the time of the game, I will try the casino bar or my stateroom. Can't imagine being cooped up in my cabin for 3 hours of football-watching. I plan to DVR both games - I will be sailing on a 9nt cruise, so I will be missing 2 games. I think I will survive!!! :p

The NFL is so weird in FL, if the team is good, many follow. Thumbs up to you to be a die hard fan. Katie

JanineM Posted July 9, 2014 #38 Share Posted July 9, 2014 What were the two games? I know one game was a Patriots game, and the other was a Falcons game. There were a lot of Pats fans on the ship so they won out.
nineteen Posted July 9, 2014 #39 Share Posted July 9, 2014 Where did they show the Pats game ? only in casino bar ? or other bars.. We are on S class ship Nov 16 . Patriots on Sunday night football, day of embarking on ship. Husband would like to watch game if on in any of bars, but we won't sit in our room to watch. We would rather be out an about at night. lborne Posted December 4, 2014 #40 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Well, just off the Connie last week and we could only watch the Monday night game in our room - they could not get it to work in the bar. For Thanksgiving games, it was working in the one bar and they had a TV set up in another lounge. My wife's a Tiger on Saturday and a Saint on Sunday.
