Genoa & Corsica Transportation

For both ports, is there a port shuttle or does Princess offer a shuttle between the pier and the center of town? Although the distance looks short on a map, Princess generally is docked at an industrial pier where the safety/security issue of walking is a problem. Which docks do they berth at?

We sailed with Princess in recent weeks to these ports. Emerald was berthed within walking distance to town for both ports & pax were permitted to walk.

Corsica: you can walk to centre of town; after exiting terminal turn left. There's also Le petit train & open top double decker bus at exit area if you wish to purchase tickets for city tour.

Genoa - we did a tour, but one could walk from pier to old city area.

Neither Princess nor ports provided shuttle when we visited.

Don't recall the docks; this may vary depending on berths available. Perhaps telephone or email Princess to find out if berth positions are known for your sail date. Hope this helps. Bon Voyage!

In Genoa there is a subway from the mail termial building to downtown area. It was 1.20 euros for 90 minutes. Was very easy to do, and much

cheaper than the 10 each way for the shuttle to downtown.

Also there is a great walking tour guide, in guide books, so that you

can walk downtown. Three wonderful churches to view, along with the

great old buildings. Coriasca has a wonderful street market near the water, several mornings a week. Town is easly walked.
