Breeze 7/5 8 day --different than normal observations

Just wanted to say a few things about our recent 8 day cruise.--some different observations for me from the normal reviews.---

I took this cruise as part of the casino free offers. There were some VERY heavy gamblers on this cruise--before this cruise, I had never seen more than 1 person over 10,000 pts. On this cruise, there were several people with anywhere from 40,000 to one lady I saw at over 90,000 pts. When I do the math (based on where I am with points on average over my last 7 cruises vs money spent)... that looks like many people spent 20 to 30k in 8 days in the casino  This cruise was one of the "Elite" cruise offerings--the free ones to the top top gamblers. I was floored. I was lucky to walk off with over $3000 in winnings and happy to say I only earned 1600 points. (I spent about 350 of my own money for the whole cruise).

MDR--it was only my 8 yr DD with me this cruise. We were seated at an 8 person table. Nobody ever showed up for our tablemates. This seemed to put us at a disadvantage for service. We were pretty much ignored by the waiter and bar staff (never got offered a drink-ever) the service was just plain awful for us this time. We were never offered a desert menu either--we went for the first 4 nights, then no more. On our other cruises, there have been 4-6 of us cruising, so we always had our own table or booth. I am not one to complain (and did not as I feel it then makes a conflicting situation), plus I did tell the waiter the first night that we were not with whomever had those other 6 seats so no need to wait for them (they never showed up any of the nights we went). The waiters did provide excellent services to the full tables-they were there all the time-along with bar staff. So we ate that the Italian restaurants and the buffet the other nights.

Dr sueus at sea---AMAZING program--the parade, story time with Matt (Yummy, Matt--I just imagined he was reading 50 shades of Grey instead of Cat in the Hat :D:D) The Dr seuss breakfast is NOT to be missed. The whole set up, service, food, characters--all so worth 5 bucks a piece (heck I would pay more, now that I have seen how amazing this part is)

They changed the buffet a bit for breakfast--the made to order eggs are opposite the regular breakfast food buffet--so there were TONS of people everyday waiting for omelets/made to order eggs, instead of just 3-4 people in that small line in the middle of the buffet--So, I had no made to order eggs on the cruise--wasn't waiting in that huge line---enjoyed more bacon instead:):)

Camp carnival- (the fee for service babysitting after 10pm)-changed their closing time from 3am to 1am now.

Those were the most different things I noticed on this cruise---Loved the cruise--My 3rd time on the Breeze.

No, I am just old regular casino (i do get premier offers) I got this one free with the many other people that did for the summer from the players club.

They had alot of drawings for $800 to $1500-I asked the casino host what those were for--she said just for the elite members on board. I think they also got free shore excursions and steakhouse dinners also. I am sure lots more, cuz like i said these people were spending HUGE money.

I would say you will be treated like royalty :):) Have fun on your cruise!!

I would have been uncomfortable at the large empty table, also. I would have spoken to the maître d and requested a smaller table, or even a table for 2. My hubby and I have requested table for 2 on a couple of cruises, and loved it.
