Adventure of the Seas! Few questions!!

Recommended Posts

Hi

We're off on our first 2 week cruise 2 weeks tomorrow on Adventure of the Seas and I have some questions I'm hoping someone can help with, please! Thank you in advance :) (and apologies if they've already been answered a million and one times!!)

1) How many formal nights are there?

2) Can I get away with short cocktail type dresses on the formal nights or do they have to be long?

3) We're in a Grand suite - are the perks such as priority tendering, private dining at Portofino, VIP pool area and shows, still happening?

4) I've paid for an 'All Access Tour' but now I'm not sure if I can ask for this being in a suite??

5) Our 16 year old son is desperate to know how much wifi packages are!!

Thank you so much!

:)

Sorry! Two more......are they showing fairly recent movies in rooms and in theatre?

And, what 'extra' money do we need on the ship - I have put aside money for laundry, wifi, bingo (we've bought drinks packages and pre-paid tips). What else is there?

Thank you!!

Wifi packages are expensive. $29.95 per hour, $49.95 per day, and over $300 for the week assuming its a 7 night cruise.

If 7 nights, there will be 2 formal nights and you will see all kinds of dresses, short, long, and mon existent.

I had an unlimited internet package for a 15-night cruise (I think about $160). I was on Adventure in May in a GS and no breakfast in Giovannis (there is no Portofino anymore). They did have a special section for suites in the MDR for breakfast.

There were three formal nights and you will be fine with a short cocktail dress.

Lots of people wear short dresses on formal night, just wear something you'll feel comfortable with, you'll look fine. I believe there are 3 formal nights on a two week cruise.

Priority tendering, VIP pool and theatre seating is still there for suite guests. No need to make reservations for the ice show, you can just show up 15 minutes before the show starts and there will be a seat in the reserved area waiting for you.

Movies on the room television are definitely not recent! Apparently there are now Playstations in the suites so you could take some DVD's, or there used to be some DVD's available to borrow if you asked the Concierge.

Portofinos is no longer there unfortunately, it has been turned into Giovanni's and according to some very recent suite cruisers, is no longer available for suite guests to use as seating for the Windjammer buffet. I'm not sure if this is what you meant by "private dining".

I know that suite guests can ask for a bridge tour, but I'm uncertain whether you will see as much as you would on the "All Access Tour". I believe that lunch is included in this? I'm sure someone who has participated in this tour will clarify.

Hope this helps and that you have a great cruise.
