Has anyone done a balcony and a minisuite on either of these ships

Is there much difference besides Sf?

On the Epic it made a big difference when we did a mini suite compared to when we did a regular balcony.

We had an angled balcony on Breakaway. My sister had a mini suite.

Our rooms were the same.

Her bathroom was bigger with a trough sink.

My balcony was way bigger.

Liked the bigger balcony for sure but that's just my opinion.

She liked her bigger bathroom.

Have fun!

Which ones are the angled balconies?

Room sizes are the same. The difference is in the bathroom. Balcony sizes for each will vary by category.

Looking at the deck plans it says the minisuite is 22sf larger is that all bathroom?

It looks like the minisuite is longer.

On the Epic it was a little wider as well

we did a mid ship minisuite on breakaway in April and the bathroom was larger. The balcony was smaller than the regular balconies on the Dawn and Gem. The room itself seemed smaller but I really liked the bathroom. Going on the Epic next year and have booked a large balcony.

It's all bathroom.

Angled balconies show a white triangle on the deck plans.

So the cabins at the end of the hump... like cabin 11182

Like the previous posters have said, the space is all in the bathroom. I stayed in a midship minisuite. There is a link the pictures in my signature if you want to see them.

Since you've been on the Epic as well

Is there more room for 2 people walking past the couch?

The M6 Cat has the biggest mini suite balcony....you can fit 2 chaise lounges and a table and 2 chairs...other than that category, any of the AFT rooms should have large balconies.

Wow Sounds great but

Im not so worried about having the biggest balcony, its the movement within the cabin that affects me more;)

Torn between keeping my angled balcony or moving to the center of the hump. The issue with the angled cabin is that it's a connecting cabin. Any opinions?

I would keep the angled balcony.

We were not in a connecting cabin so can't comment in that.

We loved loved loved our balcony.

It did get hot while docked in Bermuda though!

Have fun!

Interesting. I was under the impression that the mid-ship minisuite on the Dawn (deck 11) had the same size balcony as the neighboring regular balcony. Posts I have read said the four regular balcony's on deck 11 had larger balconies because deck 11 is mostly minisuites.
