What is your arrival time at Pt Canaveral

Been cruising with RCCL for many years, but 2nd time since over 10 years ago to cruise out of of PC on the Freedom in a month.

Unlike other ports, heard that PC will not open its doors to passengers until everyone has undocked !?

Would be interested in hearing what everyone's experience is....

What time did you arrive at PC

Is the door opened? if not, what time?

Where did you wait if not able to enter?

 

Hoping this will benefit other cruisers as well :)

We have sailed out of PC many times. We usually arrive at the port around 10:30, go through security and immediately up to checkin. They usually start boarding around 11:30.

 

We will be on the Freedom 8/31.......love that ship!!!!

We try to arrive between 11:15-11:30, avoid the worst of the check-in crowd, and are usually onboard in plenty of time for lunch

When you arrive at 11:30 how long does it take you to get on board from the time you get there?

Last time in Miami we got there around 10:30 but of course had to wait at least an hour. But the benefit was we were at the head of the boarding line when boarding started.

Is is better to arrive at 11:30 when boarding is starting?

It depends slightly upon what cruise line and your status (premiere, etc.), but generally if we arrive at 1130 we are on board by 1230 or so.

I'm very nervous that we will be met with long check-in lines since our flight doesn't arrive MCO until 11:30 a.m. I'm guessing we will arrive at the port about 1:30 p.m.
