Onelung Posted August 3, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Just booked my first cruise with P&O and have a couple of questions. Do they have free soft drinks at the buffet/pool or do we need to buy a drinks card? Does the fridge in the cabin (we are in a standard balcony) have anything in it i.e. drinks/mixers/milk? Do they have free pool towels? Anything other useful info would be welcome, we have only sailed Celebrity previously so keen to know what will be different. Thanks :) Frances
AchileLauro Posted August 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2014 You have to purchase all soft drinks other than fruit juice at breakfast. Like you suggest you can by a "soda card" (I hate that American term). You will have two small bottles of water in your fridge when you get to your cabin but that is all, and you will need to purchase any replacements. Pool towels are coloured blue and are placed in your bathroom. You place these in the bins near the pools when you have finished with them and they will be replaced by your cabin steward when he/she next cleans your bathroom. richleeds Posted August 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Yeah and its not a fridge its a "cooler" - so drinks take a long time to chill and even then arent too cold.

mandsb1990 Posted August 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Thanks for this, very helpful. Can you share "soda cards"? Yes you can share them. I think they are around £30 each for 20 drinks.

Josy1953 Posted August 3, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 3, 2014 Yes ask your steward to refill your ice bucket twice a day if you are out on the deck and would like some ice just go to the nearest bar and ask for some, I have done this with no problem.
