bonox55 Posted August 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Never travelled to South Pacific Islands before and really looking forward to it. Just a little anxious about carrying seapass/cash etc on the beach. Has anyone experienced problems while swimming/snorkelling? Rare Keith1010 Posted August 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Always good to limit what you take and not leave it on the beach while you are in the water. I know of two people who brought passports (bad mistake) and they were stolen. Keith
rrrrall Posted August 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2014 You can get a waterproof pouch that goes around your neck for cash and things like that. It is what we kept our IDs in and everything else important Sent from my SM-N900V using Forums mobile app
bonox55 Posted August 13, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted August 13, 2014 Thanks for your info. If my wife and I want to take photos, looks like we would have to swim separately. Sent from my SGP311 using Forums mobile app

Kartgv Posted August 13, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2014 You don't have to swim separately - here's what we use. Purchase on Amazon. It's 5" x 6" so plenty of room for everything - get one for each of you. You might also look into a water resistant camera - they're now pretty inexpensive and take reasonable pictures, are waterproof to at least 10 feet or so. Capt_BJ Posted August 13, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) the smaller is credit card sized ... I can stuff in 2 sea pass, 2 picture ID, a credit card and a few bills .... all these are 'waterpoof' btw . . . tie off the lanyard and stuff it down the swim suit . . . the larger one is 'pack of cigs' size for when we need more money . . . cb at sea Posted August 14, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 14, 2014 I've never worried about my sea pass at the beach...no one can use it to reboard the ship, except you...your photo is attached. If you're worried, put it in the velcroed pocket of your swim trunks. It's plastic....water won't hurt it, or your credit card, or even, cash!
