MGM M Life members and Casinos onboard

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Read something about a partnership with RCCL and M Life.

Sadly I dropped last year from platinum to gold (being in UK it's one or two trips if we are lucky to Vegas a year).

I think I get that plats can book a free 5 day cruise but was more curious if there was any advantage to enhancing my M Life points by showing my card on board in the casino.

We will gamble most days on board. And our next trip to Vegas isn't far away. With my onboard play and my next trip I would easily hit platinum again.

Any advice will be appreciated

Just show your card to the Casino Host or. Casino. Manager

If you stake enough you might get invited to become a Casino Royale VIP member

You will need to bet $50 per hand at Blackjack to get rated

Roulette $25 a spin to be rated

And slots $3 a spin rated

Play on average 4hrs a day in Casino

Use Seapass in all slots when playing to accrue points for small cash rebates and small gifts

You may get drink coupons from Casino Host, only to be used in Casino

We typically get free bottles of wine all week and complimentary speciality dining

Here are the RCI M-Life tier details

Hope this helps

Be lucky

Happy Days!

All levels of MLife will earn tier credits while playing in RCCL casinos. I'm not sure what the conversion is, but you might want to ask the Casino Host on the ship when you first enter the casino. Here's a little of the info:

I'm a Casino Royale member as well as an MGM Platinum level and I'd be interested to know what the point conversion is.

Happy gambling and cruising.

According to the site:

"Earn five (5) M life tier credits for every one ( 1) Casino Royale point earned playing slots or video poker."

Nice to be able to get perks in both! :D

Interesting info. when we were on the serenade in March as well as two weeks on the adventure we were told that as we had booked our cruise using our crown and anchor benefits we could not get any of the Mlife benefits. I had my Mlife platinum card with us as we had just been to Vegas in january. We didn't get any free drinks on either ship from casino host. He showed us he has a list of the mlife players who are on board. While he added us to the list, we never saw any benefits.

We will be back out in January in Vegas again to see if our play on board the ships is actually showing up on our tier. I did notice a difference this summer but don't know what my credits were before that.

They will not rate two people together no matter how you are set up with MLife. Every person at sea has to qualify by themselves. The easiest way to make sure that you are getting rated is just to introduce yourselves to the casino host. We received random comp drinks before we were invited to Club Royale, but there was no rhyme or reason, we just always made sure to say hello to the host or assistant host every time we were in the casino.

I'm an Mlife member too (just became one this year, so i'm a lowly sapphire) and plan on gambling on the ship. We don't have any rewards built up yet, but i'm excited to use my Mlife card and get some credits. We are going back to vegas at least once this year (2014) so any and all credits will be welcome. :)

Also - if you are booked under any Royal Caribbean discount (Casino Royale OR C&A) - they may not let you "double-dip." On the Allure, we earned credit in the casino toward our next cruise (Freedom.) We were told we could use EITHER the credit toward the cost of the cruise OR take advantage of the MLife Platinum benefits, not both. I'm not exactly sure of the details - and I'm sure it depends on who you talk to - but you should contact the Casino Royale number listed in the previous post - just to let them know that you're cruising.

We've seen that comps and benefits are never a guarantee on land - and they don't seem to be on ship. We've learned that it never hurts to ask. If you tell them that you'd like to continue playing - but you're really parched - they'll surely float you some drink coupons. :D

You are correct and you can not double dip with benefits, it doesn't matter who you speak to at Club Royale. When you talk to Club Royale they will explain both the MLife & C&A benefits at your level and then you can decide which benefits would be better for you.

Yep - you're right. That's what they told us. They told us what the price would be either way - and we got to decide. Thanks for clarifying. (We booked a long time ago!) :D

Great info thanks.

Is there any email address I should advise of my booking number and Mlife membership number before we sail?

We sale on the August 24th Allure cruise.

It still may be better to call Club Royale at 888-561-2234 before your cruise as you may have additional questions once they advise you of your benefits. Yes, you'll need your MLife membership# when you call or email them.

Have to say how incredibly disappointed I am with RC and MGM. I am a diamond member on RC and was sapphire on MGM. Three times I called both RC and MGM and was told my M Life status was upgraded to gold due to my RC status. They said I would receive specialty dinner ect. Each time RC turned around and said no, you don't get the gold benefits as it was only changed due to diamond status. It seems one side doesn't know what the other side is doing. Never have I seen such disorganization. I'll just stick to my diamond benefits and hope that the partners can get their acts together.

I'm sure there's a lot of back and forth between RCCL and MLife, especially as this is a new partnership.

But I will say - if you read the fine print and all their little footnotes, it states that in order to receive MLife tier benefits, you have to have gambled to get them - meaning not just received the "gold" tier because of reciprocity through C & A, and vice versa.

I'm not sure exactly what that means - but I would definitely ask them about that fine print the next time you contact them.

Hope this helps. :o We've always loved MLife and they have treated us well -- and now RCCL is treating us well, so hopefully they'll get all this cleared up.

Happy gamble-cruising!

Does anybody know how to add my Diamond RCI status to my new M Life account? I'm going to Vegas in a few weeks and want to see if there is any real benefit.

There's a number for M-Life member benefits in the terms and conditions section of this page:

http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentWithGallery.do?pagename=mgm_partnership

I also have read that people take a printout of Royal's web page showing their C&A level and show this to the M-Life people at the hotel to get their benefits.

I took my Gold M-Life card to the casino on Navigator this week. Because I got my Gold card as a result of my Diamond status they wouldn't give me any of the perks listed. The free drinks and specialty restaurant are only for those who have gambled their way to Gold status. While we did get some better hotel rates in Las Vegas by taking something showing I have diamond with Royal, I got none of the benefits on Royal.
