MGM M Life members and Casinos onboard

Recommended Posts

I took my Gold M-Life card to the casino on Navigator this week. Because I got my Gold card as a result of my Diamond status they wouldn't give me any of the perks listed. The free drinks and specialty restaurant are only for those who have gambled their way to Gold status. While we did get some better hotel rates in Las Vegas by taking something showing I have diamond with Royal, I got none of the benefits on Royal.

When the Royal people see your Gold M-Life card, how do they know you got it via Diamond status as opposed to gambling?

She had me wait for about 45 minutes while she confirmed my status. And since I don't gamble enough to suit them I wasn't in the system.

Also at that point, the woman in casino was quite rude to me. It was obvious that she did not appreciate me wasting her time.

Interesting, so they probably make a call or check on the internet. Thanks for the info.:)

Yeah, they email the m life customer service desk and they verify through that. The benefits for being diamond or diamond plus and getting m life benefits at an MGM property, as a result, are minimal. The benefits for being an m life member with gold, platinum or noir status, earned through gambling or spending at MGM properties are excellent when you use them on RCCL. It's definitely a 1 way proposition.

The discounts alone on rooms through club royale make achieving status through m life worth it if you go to Vegas from time to time. The free cruise for being platinum or related credit, is worth it too.

We achieved gold status in Vegas the expensive way (gambling) in September and on our October cruise I took our gold cards with us. Was told we booked before we earned status so no perks for us! BTW...we are diamond on Royal and have no real perk in Vegas either. We get "free" rooms, and comped meals already.
