JAMESCC Posted September 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Having been on Explorer 3 times including our honeymoon cruise we are interested because we have connection to Explorer what exactly stays, what exactly goes when she goes in for her full dry dock next year? What gets replaced, like all the carpets in every room? Furniture, especially in the stateroom? I mean do they gut the entire ship and redo everything? Thanks for any info. Clarea Posted September 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) If the Explorer dry dock is similar to others, it won't be a complete gutting. Bathroom fixtures are replaced, carpets, draperies. Stateroom furniture is not replaced unless necessary. Take a look at what they did to Navigator to get an idea of what might be coming: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/class/ship/home.do?shipClassCode=VY&shipCode=NV&br=R Edited September 1, 2014 by clarea

JAMESCC Posted September 1, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Cool that gives me some idea of what Explorer will look like. I'm sure there will be you tube video tours of Explorer after she is finished. Thanks again.
