Does anyone know the arrival date of the Quantum of the Seas to NY. I know the pre-inaugural sailing is November 18. Just wondering what day the ship arrives. Thanks in advance.

Quantum arrives in Cape Liberty, New Jersey at 6:00 am on November 10, 2014.

Do you know if she will be officially christened before leaving for the transatlantic or after she arrives in New York?

She will be christened in New York. We don't know an exact date yet, but yesterday I saw that Make-A-Wish is advertising a charity cruise for 11/14 to 11/16. I believe that when they haven't done it as part of a big event like the Today Show it was during their sailing that the christening took place. So my guess is the 14th or 15th.

Thank you. Hopefully they will webcast it like they have other events so we can watch. We do not have the C&A clot to be invited.

Last night I was talking to friend about the arrival, and the offer was made to head up river in my friends boat, so I could get pictures and of coarse watch the arrival

Hope you get to. Keep an eye out, not sure if NYC will, but Port Everglades has historically organized an official flotilla of maritime vessels to escort the new ships on their arrival. It's normally open to anyone that wants to join, just done officially so they can assure nobody gets to close or does anything dangerous or stupid.

I think that's the best part, I can't wait

My friend is a captain, and extremely safe, thank god he's not a weekend warrior

I was wondering how much daylight we would have to see her sail under the Verrazano bridge on the webcam http://www.nyharborwebcam.com

Went to the Port Fever archives and this is Nov 9 last year. Should be enough light to see her if she arrives about 6 AM

I'm thinking about driving down to the bridge, or maybe just getting on the SI Ferry with my husband and riding back and forth so I can see her. Maybe not right as she comes under the bridge, but to get a close up look.

Me too! Hopefully I can convince my husband to get up at 4 am so we can do this. I am so excited. Can't wait to sail on her and would love to see her sail under the bridge for the first time. Gives me goose bumps thinking about it. :D
