bwaz Posted September 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2014 We took a harbor tour, very enjoyable. One stop was Ft McHenry site of the battle that inspired the Star Spangled Banner. It is a historic site with reconstructed barracks, original cannons. When we were there there were re-enactors in miltary uniforms showing how the soldiers of the War of 1812 lived. We really enjoyed it. Sent from my LG-D801 using Forums mobile app

There you will find the National Aquarium , the Science Center, Power Plant Live and the Inner Harbor itself. You could take a water taxi around the harbor and get off at Fells Point Ft. McHenry or Canton. You will be a short walk to Little Italy for some great Italian food. http://baltimore.org/article/baltimore-inner-harbor http://baltimore.org/ http://www.baltimorewatertaxi.com/
Rare mskaufman Posted September 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 4, 2014 In the Inner Harbor you can get an all-day Water Taxi pass for $12, which will give you a good self tour of the harbor area and get you to Ft. McHenry.
rkacruiser Posted September 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 4, 2014 There is so much to do in the Inner Harbor area that one would not be able to enjoy everything with only one day's visit. Nice restaurants are also in the area with some having waterfront views of the harbor. If you are interested in transportation history, the B&O Railroad Museum is not far away and one could spend a couple of hours or more just at that location. Baltimore is a lovely city to visit and I found it very easy to get around--at least by car.
