Hubby could def polish off a 20 oz steak but for me I'm good with a smaller cut.

Think we'll probably go there for dinner since we're in Aruba until 10.

And it will be my B-Day. I want to enjoy every last second I can in Aruba.:p

Definitely want to watch the sunset.

Thanks so much for this post. Definitely makes it easier to get up in the morning cuz I think, Oh I wonder what he posted. Grab my cup of Joe and turn on C.C,:p

Just a side note, when we were in Aruba we did a sunset tour with Black Pearl, snorkeling, to die for grilled Gouda sandwiches, rim punch, and gorgeous sunset. Still had time after the excursion if you wanted to have dinner on land. This is still one of our favorite excursions. It would be a wonderful birthday gift, :D

Did you say, "s'mores parfait"??:D

That sounds amazing! Don't remember that from our last cruise -- must be new.

Thanks for the great review -- we cruise on the Liberty in 17 days!

Smores Parfait???? Is that something new....I've never seen that on a dessert menu

Yep!! I am so sorry now that I didn't snap a picture!!

I am home sick with Strep and have really enjoyed whiling away my day reading your review..so thanks :) I notice that you and your son are fairly tall men and I was wondering if you felt squished on the jeep tour?? My adult sons are 6'7" and 6'8" (both with tiny 5'4" wives lol) :p and they would love it..but never get to enjoy such things because they simply do not fit! I would love your opinion on this tour!

We did not feel squished at all, and I have very bad knees.

Thanks for reading, and feel better!

After two very busy port days, it was great to be able to sleep in…..

CL1029.jpg

After getting up, we made our way to the Silver Olympian Dining room for the Sea Day Brunch. It was a little busier this morning, so we had to wait about ten minutes to be seated, but as always it was worth it.

Afterwards, we all kind of split up and did our own things. I went to The Web to check emails, followed by a trip to the Versailles Pool bar for a few Coronas.

At 1pm, Patti and I met in the casino, as it was time for the Roll Call slot pull. About a dozen of us participated. We found a dollar Wheel of Fortune slot machine with a $3 dollar max bet, so we each threw in $15 dollars for 5 pulls. After everybody had gone, we were still about even, so a group decision was made to keep pulling until we either hit a big jackpot or busted out. It took about six or seven rounds, but eventually we did bust out, but a great time was had by all.

This afternoon, they were having the second blackjack tournament of the cruise, but again I tried twice, and I couldn’t earn a seat at the final table.

I stayed in the casino playing blackjack for a few hours, and wound up losing another couple of hundred. I guess I can expect another plate of goodies from the players club! Let me just say here, that the casino hosts, pit bosses, and dealers, were a great bunch of people, who treated me very well. I received plenty of free drinks. They just need to get rid of those continuous shuffle machines!!

Tonight was the second Cruise Elegant Night, and Patti and I had made a reservation at Diamonds Steakhouse…..

We were given a nice table by the window. Here was our view of the Steakhouse…..

CL1032.JPG

We ordered a bottle of wine, we ended up having two, and soon they gave us the entrée presentation…..

For dessert, I got what I usually get, the caramelized Washington apples…..

CL1049.JPG

Patti was feeling a little full, so she chose the fruit plate….

CL1050.JPG

It was a great dinner, well worth the fee. We were there about two hours total.

Afterwards, we went to the EA Sports Bar for some Thirsty Frog Reds, and watch a ballgame. Soon, we started getting sleepy, so it was back to the cabin for a good night’s rest. Waiting for us was tonight’s towel animal, and our Platinum gifts, which were the coffee mugs…..

CL1051.JPG

I apologize for the lack of pictures in today’s segment, but the cameras wanted to rest too!! I promise you that in the next segment, when we get to Grand Turk, there will be a multitude of pictures. Good Night!

Thanks. I have actually checked this out and have it saved to favorites.

So still undecided. Others on our Roll Call are booked.

It's good to know we would still have time for dinner. :p

Jamman, I just have to say that you and Patti are such a very nice looking couple! Can't wait to read about GT. One of my 2 favorite port of calls! :D (and you know what the other one is! :p)

Awwwwwwwww, thanks Karry! Wait until you see Patti's pictures from GT. She found things there that even I've never seen! It's going to take me a day or two to get this next segment set up, but it will be worth the wait.

Those Steakhouse food pics were so great......I can't wait to eat in a Carnival Steakhouse again! But will have to wait until May.....until then I will just drool over other peoples pictures.

Kim

Thanks for reading! We always make a point of going to the Steakhouse, on any ship that has them. I only have a month to wait for my next visit.

Welcome to Grand Turk!!

CL1052.jpg

We were up early to catch the sunrise, and to watch our arrival into Grand Turk. It was a little cloudy out, but it’s supposed to be a hot and sunny day. The sun is peeking through the clouds…..

CL1053.JPG

We’re heading up to Emile’s to grab some pastries and coffee, when we got the following shots. The sun is rising over the Carnival Liberty…..

CL1056.JPG

Look!! The towel animals are hogging the chairs!!

CL1057.JPG

CL1060.JPG

After finishing our continental breakfast, we made our way back to our cabin, and out onto the not so “secret” deck for our arrival into Grand Turk. Land Ho!! That’s Grand Turk in the distance…..

Our view, looking towards the conch graveyard on the beach beyond the little pier….

CL1075.JPG

Here’s the game plan for this morning. I will get off the ship as soon as it’s cleared, and make a bee line over to Margaritaville, so I can get my choice of cabana. Patti and Ryan will join me later. She wants to put together some bags of free laundry to send out. I head down to deck 3 forward where the gangway is to wait for clearance, and am one of the first off the ship…..

CL1076.jpg

The ship photographers are hard at work….

CL1078.JPG

The Carnival Liberty is docked in Grand Turk…..

CL1077.JPG

The north beach and Margaritaville are on the left….

CL1079.JPG

The south beach, boat excursion pier, and the conch graveyard are to the right…..

Here’s a couple of empty beach views. The beach won’t be empty for long…..

CL1082.JPG

CL1083.JPG

No more time for pictures, as I make my way through the Cruise Center, and then to Margaritaville to check in for my cabana. Once there, I meet Ricardo, who remembers me from a previous visit, and escorts me to our cabana. As always I chose # 9…..

CL1084.JPG

Ricardo was going to be our server for today, so I had to give him my sail & sign card, which he will hold hostage until I pay my food and beverage bill. This is their way of making sure I don’t skip out on the bill. No pay, no sail & sign card, no getting back on the ship!

I sent Ricardo off to the bar to get me a bucket of Landshark’s, so I used the time to take some pictures of what only a few people ever see, an empty Margaritaville. First though, are cabanas 9,8, & 7…..

CL1085.JPG

Cabanas 9 & 10…..

CL1087.JPG

The empty pool…..

CL1088.JPG

To be continued…..
