Price increase today...

I was just about to book a last minute cruise on the Breakaway (Oct 5, 12 or 19) when I logged on to see that the price jumped up about $30-50 for the few weeks I was looking at. :( Any thoughts on whether this is tied to this week's promotion or is it just because we're so close to the departure date?

 

I've never booked last minute (I'm usually 6+ months out), but this year we're scraping together the $$ just to get on the boat. I was hoping to wait another week or so to see if the price drops any further, but I think I made a mistake and waited too long!

 

I'm sad to have to lose out on 60-100 for us, but if I hear from you guys that the price is only going up from here, I'm going to bite the bullet and just get us on the ship! Thoughts, advice, encouragement welcome!

I was comped the Gem 2 nighter but I am shocked at the pricing. It was technically $399.00 when I booked but it has jumped to $729.00 with 3 jumps since Thursday (8 since last month). I guess they have to find that 3 Billion dollars they just laid out for the takeover last week.

Since we booked our November 30 cruise on the breakaway my sons inside GTY has gone up $400 in just a little over a month. Thankful we booked when we did. Mine is already paid but I got a great deal booking through CAS for me and DH cabin balcony for $639 for both of us can't be beat.

We booked getaway for October 25.

 

Our mini-suite went up 483.48 (3 people).

 

But on the other hand I initially booked a second room inside (1 person) and was able to upgrade to a balcony and actually made $10.00 with the upgrade. That was nice!

 

I am hoping to upgrade again to a mini-suite if possible.

Comped that cruise also,(you join roll call?) and shocked at the prices.... not much less than a 7 night cruise, and more than the BA 2 night CTN (thinking of that one also)

I am late to this thread, but the fish is amazing. It alerts you by email . Saved me 1200 for our upcoming Getaway...and now I get to have my smug chuckle as I watch the price go UP up up..SissasmomE , the price is up 2k for the 5 of us ..it is INSANE!!!! I don't know why, the cruise is next summer, but I do love watching on my fish!

BTW- the fish allowed me to sort thru various and sundry PCCS until I found one not a fool. I think I may have almost hooked a decent one...but we' ll see....

lol I will be playing the quickhits machines right in front of the bar!

I don't usually join the 2 nighter roll calls as they are so short as it is but I will check it out this morning. I am booked on all 3 BA CTN also, I almost didn't book all of them but I forgot I had ordered enough of the slotplay coupons to cover all the 2 nighters so I didn't want it to go to waste (Thats my story and I am sticking to it :D )
