KMR2014 Posted September 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2014 I will be cruising on my honeymoon. I have seen one company that offers a traditional Tahitian ceremony however, they did not respond to any of my efforts to contact them. Does anyone know of any tour companies that offer this on any islands? We think it would be so cool to get married there as well, especially in a simple and intimate Tahitian ceremony! 6rugrats Posted September 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) Not clear if you will already be married and just want a symbolic ceremony, or if you want to get legally married in Tahiti. If you are leaving on this cruise in October, don't think you have enough time to get the necessary paperwork completed for a legal wedding. The requirements for a legal marriage in Tahiti are below: http://www.tahiti-tourisme.com/weddings/how-to-tahiti-wedding.asp You have to get legally married at the city hall, so probably the easiest way is to get married at home, and have a symbolic ceremony in Tahiti. Many companies offer this service. If you get stuck, go to the Tahiti forum on tripadvisor and ask. Edited September 15, 2014 by 6rugrats

6rugrats Posted September 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2014 You should be able to do this. Also, check hotels at your ports; some of them may offer this service (not sure if you have to be a guest or not).
canuck.qc Posted September 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We saw a beautiful, traditional wedding ceremony while we were at the Hilton Moorea (the 'husband' came in by boat, they were all in full Tahitian costume) . We also met a couple who had a ceremony at the Tiki Village on Moorea. I believe there are alot of options especially that you want a symbolic ceremony rather than an official marriage ceremony.
