So, I booked a cruise online, I had to cancel, did it on line on Thursday, this morning(sunday) I have 2 emails saying my courtesy hold has expired! Wonder if I have to call to get my deposit back? Cruise is a year out, no time issues.

I'd give it a max of two weeks, and then call if you don't see your refund by that time.

Apparently the system that sends out those emails doesn't talk to the reservations system all that well. We usually do a courtesy hold to get the cabin we want, and then call C&A to transfer the booking to one of our NCC certificates. Like clockwork, two days after we complete the process with C&A, we get the "your courtesy hold has expired" email.
