Anyone take Ginger as precaution or to aid in sea-sickness?

I've been taking ginger capsules (550mg each, 2 with breakfast 2 with dinner or at night) on my past few cruises. I tried the sea bands, the patch, and meclizine to no help. Ginger seems to work for me.

It does indeed thin blood. Ginger is also a natural anti-inflammatory.

I take them for the duration of my vacation and sometimes even take them in everyday life to try to quell inflammation (which my body seems to have issues with).

I haven't had the issues I had prior to taking ginger. We've had some slight seas but nothing insane - so I don't know if it's just that i've not been in rougher seas, or if they work. I do feel some issues still when in the MDR if the seas are rockings, for what it's worth.
