Hi,

Making my maiden cruise in November on The Independence of the Seas from Southampton.

 

Havent sorted out my drinks package yet as been told so many different things by so many people so hoping you guys can help.

 

I like a beer, well several beers, wine with my meals and the occasional spirit and cocktail. Only drink tea with my breakfast so premier teas and coffee's arent needed.

 

Can you tell me the best drinks package to opt for.

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

You need to ask questions on the RCI board -- like what is the cost of beers, cost of glasses of wine and cost of cocktails. Then compare that to the cost of a drink package. Also ask what the restrictions are on the drink packages.

Depending how much you will drink per day will determine if the package is needed...you don't have to have a package to get drinks! Generally, it's about 7 drinks per day to "break even"...

It seems like you are doing the 14 night TA to FLL. If so, the drink package would work out to your benefit if you average 6-10 beers and wine per day. It is a lot easier to get past your breakeven point with a lot of sea days..happy cruising
