Grandmaflower Posted October 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2014 Boarding was painless. Sea pass cards were missing all dining info so had to wait 30 min line at dining room to get our assignment. We were not assigned!! Got what we wanted though. Voucher pickup was easy in the casino. Buffet busy but manageable. Seats in the back. Food was very good...esp the pizza. Have cruised both Disney and RCCL ..just as good. Staff is friendly and trying to be helpful don't seem totally well informed but could be language barrier.

JSnow789 Posted October 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2014 Eat in the MDR for dinner. The times for dinner in the buffet change and sometimes you might get stuck with just pizza/burgers/fries. :)

Grandmaflower Posted October 4, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted October 4, 2014 At main dining room meal...perfection and food is great. Service is attentive. Maurice the head waiter came by and is a character. Loves his home Italy. Muster drill was a bit of a joke. Stateroom attendant is wonderful and stopped us in the hall from going the wrong way to dinner...by name! Still haven't left yet...engines are revving! joyce&bob Posted October 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2014 i am booked In cabin number 9066. I keep getting conflicting comments. Cruise critic people are telling me it is an odd balcony cabin. When you go out the sliding door the balcony is enclosed with a hole cut out open to the outside. However, if you are sitting you can not even see out. My TA and a representative from MSC a say it is a regular balcony. If possible could you check it out for me.

My TA and a representative from MSC a say it is a regular balcony. If possible could you check it out for me. Looking at the deck plans it seems to show they are a hull balcony. Perhaps the confusion is with your description to the reps at MSC? You keep referring to it like it is a window. There really is nothing wrong with a hull balcony, at least IMO. Carnival has something similar on the Dream with their Cove Balconies, which I have stayed in. True you can't see through the metal, but I never wanted to really sit on the chairs anyway, I like to stand and look out over the railing. Grandmaflower Posted October 12, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Well we had a FANTASTIC time onboard the Divina. I will post a full review in the coming days but I am happy to say this was one of the best cruises I have ever taken. We had a fantastic room steward and wonderful servers in the MDR. We found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. This cruise line is on par with RC. Enjoyed the international flavor of the other passengers and the food in the buffet and MDR was very good. Would not hesitant to sail again with MSC!
