HawkIVette Posted October 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I tried to find where I read this before, but just want confirmation from someone who has done this. Cash out at the kiosk or casino cage? Correct? Actual cash? Service charge? Edited October 5, 2014 by HawkIVette
SkyMaster Posted October 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2014 If I have an extra $100 non refundable O.B.C., I've always gone to the casino, found a nice .25 slot machine, loaded $100 from my "sign-n-sail" card to the machine, and pulled off a few spins. When I hit a nice round number, ($90 to $110 or so) I transfer the money from the slot, back to my sign-n-sail, then head over to the cashier, and cash out. Works dandy, and the last couple of times, I've actually made a few bucks extra. ;) "SKY"
WiCruiseDreamer Posted October 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2014 We did the same, had cruise cash left over, so went and played some slots after transferring it to my casino players account. 15 minutes or so later, went to the cashier and cashed out. Did it more than once.
Badfinger Posted October 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) I tried to find where I read this before, but just want confirmation from someone who has done this. Cash out at the kiosk or casino cage? Correct? Actual cash? Service charge? On our 2013 Magic cruise, I withdrew $1200.00 of OBC at the kiosk. Straight cash homey! No fee, no muss, no fuss. When you first start the process you have to set up a pin for your account. That took me all of 23 seconds. Suggest using the same 4-digit number as your in room safe. This year I had $80 of casino only OBC. I just went to the blackjack table and and asked for $80 in chips. At that point you could just take the chips to the cage and they give you cash without any fees and without asking for your s&s card, ID, etc. Me, I decided to play blackjack for a few hours and cashed out $90 and saved a few $1 chips for souvenirs. They have a picture of the magic on one side. Cheapest souvenir you can buy! Edited October 5, 2014 by Badfinger
mapsmith Posted October 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Never had that problem. Pay the gratuities. Wife takes the rest and heads to the onboard shops. If I am lucky, I can get my Sheridan's. Nothing ever left.

snc_cam Posted October 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I agree with the kiosk. Used it for the first time on the last cruise. Unfortunately it would not read my S&S, so had to go to Guest Services and got the cash there.
YB Nrml Posted October 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We are just off the Freedom yesterday. Did the casino thing with loading money from our S & S account onto the slot machine, playing for a few minutes, then cashing out at the cashier cage. No fees incurred and easy to do. And if you are using the kiosk and it won't read your S & S card all you have to do is key in your folio number, then set up a pin number.
snc_cam Posted October 6, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I did what you said on the Kiosk. However, unless it reads the S&S card, you cannot withdraw cash from it. I tried it three different times, same result. So, it was easy to resolve at GS.

Thanks for the info.

Cheapest souvenir you can buy! when you went to the black jack table and handed them your sail and sign card and asked for $80 chips didn't you have to pay the 3% fee of $2.40 to get the chips. every time i cruised and went to the tables and used my sail and sign card there has always been a 3% fee to do it. I can't be certain, but I'm guessing that if you had OBC that was for "casino use only" that you could get if off of your card without a fee. jackparts Posted October 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 6, 2014 As I wrote above...NO fee. I agree, never had to pay a fee on any cruise line, blackjack, poker or roulette.
QTPieRye Posted October 6, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Our OBC credit is split among 1st two passengers in cabin.... one of them is a minor; therefore, won't have a player's account. Can we transfer daughter's OBC to my account and then I can cash out?
Laurie S. Posted October 6, 2014 #16 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I just went to Guest Services and got almost $1,000 in cash, no problems.
