Back on the Enchantment once again! ~~ Solo Picture Review ~~

So funny. I start reading here today for the first time. I see your name and am like..OH... I wonder. Then your brother chimes in. haha. Def the same Poole's. I feel like I hear you speaking about the trip while reading the report. The one thing this has that the other doesn't...are the photos! And while I totally enjoy Matt and that stuff, (My ride to and from work has never been more fun) I am a photographer, and pics are a huge part of the cruising experience for me! :) I never entertained the idea of going alone... I may have to figure that out! I heard Harmony has single rooms too! That is exciting. The saturated photos are nuts. Something about the sky that way that makes me love it so! Thanks for posting the menu too, in one of your other PTRs! I never get around to reports, and I would not be even half as good doing them as those I have seen here today! Maybe though. I hit up Enchantment for the first time May 6 - and then Allure Aug 28. Very excited for both. I know I will be hooked! Thanks for posting, and keep up the awesomeness both here and with Matt!

I apologize if I'm not asking this question in the correct section or thread. Does anyone have any thoughts on cabin 4078 deck 4 on the Enchantment? I'm a little nervous after seeing the deck plan on the ship. The R Bar is very close and the nightclub in on the 5th floor above. Will this be a really noisy area of the ship?

Thanks for the kind words! I had a lot of fun posting these reviews! The reason my other reviews don't have "great" photos is because they are live, and I don't like to edit on board due to time. All my CC content was uploaded post cruise.

 

I'll be on Enchantment Feb 5th, so be on the lookout for my fun to come!

Awesome! I wish I lived a little closer to go more often. The ships here are five days and that is a little much for a long weekend! They used to have one and two nights on NCL on the Gem which was fine to get a fix, but they did away with cruises to nowhere. Boo! Closest is now a 3 day but it is a little hefty price wise and I can surely go twice by the time I'm done with that! Looking forward to your next PTR!

Welcome to Cruise Critic! These forms can't be a little weird to learn.

 

So you asked about cabin 4078 on Enchantment. After looking at the deck plans it does look like you are below the dance lounge boleros. Though you could hear noise from above, I don't think you will. Most of the dancing at that lounge is 7pm-11pm; unless you are early to bed, I think you will be fine. Most of the night time dancing is in the Viking Lounge. Also, I like that you are close to the R Bar; I have almost the same cabin on my B2B on Brilliance. You can rush over to bar for water, or Stella :D while getting ready.

I was also on the Enchantment 2 weeks ago. We docked around 11:50, ship was cleared at 12:15. Had zero issues getting off, no lines at all. They have staff working the stairs and lobby helping to move the flow of people.

 

When are you going?

Does anyone know what the Casino rate is for the rooms? We will be there next weekend on Sunday 1/17/16

 

This "casino rate room with 4 passes" popped up a few times in this thread, but it doesn't appear that anyone has noted exactly how you get this rate and where it's purchased. Anyone have a clue?

 

I'm on Enchantment in late August this year, and my GF and her son would love to do the Atlantis waterslides, etc.

Just found your review. We got off Liberty a few weeks ago and we will be on the Enchantment in December. We've been on Enchantment twice, but not since the stretch. We LOVE Enchantment and can't wait. We board the day after Christmas. First time for us to be on a cruise with the ship decorated for Christmas. You remind me a bit of my Grandson. He's 22 and is Diamond on his own. He always gets some curious stares when he enters the Diamond lounge too. He graduates from college in December and we are sailing Enchantment because it has a stop in Key West, where he was born. I LOVE the photos and the review.

I miss the enchantment you will have a great time on her!! I saw her Monday in Miami getting off empress and acted like a child, lol.

OMG...The Nordic Empress was the first ship we did after not cruising for many years. I remember thinking how much had changed/improved when we boarded her for the first time. That was about 18 years ago...??? It was BRAND NEW on our cruise. It was the first ship my Grandson sailed. I understand that the Empress will be sailing on the itinerary that will include Cuba???

That is the plan, but the Cuba sailings have been delayed and there's no estimate of when they might begin.

and fell in love with it while it was in Baltimore. Was on the infamous (to me) "cruise to nowhere" - my 1st time on that ship in October 2012 when it was supposed to go to Bermuda but once we all boarded, we were told the hurricane meant we had to anchor off Cape Charles. Boy were there a lot of angry passengers! My sister and I were already unpacked so we decided to stay on - half the ship got off. We didn't leave port until 10 pm and had the best time ever, even though it stormed the entire time and we couldn't go outside. Got to know some of the crew (Jefferson is my favorite drink server ever!). I have done 2 solo b2b December birthday cruises on it in Port Canaveral (2013 and 2014) and hope to get a cheap last minute solo 4-night cruise on it for my birthday this year. Maybe even a b2b if I can get great deals. It's a long drive from VA but totally worth it!! I'll be a Diamond member after the 12-night I am taking (solo) on Grandeur out of Baltimore on Oct. 31st. Just got my Halloween costume in the mail - sure hope it fits! Sorry this is so long - I type for a living lol and can't help myself. Loved all your pictures, Michael, and reviews.

I'm not going to lie I was pretty tired at this point, which is usually not my style. I decided to call it a night after dinner, I mean a day of drinking and getting up at 4am! It was earned sleep right?

 

But on my way back to the cabin I took the top deck and grabbed a few sunset shots. (better ones on night 3)

Each evening they have live music, with some casual dancing. This is where I always wish I had a dancing partner with me, because I love to dance!

hank you for the great review. We re on the Halloween cruise. I loved your pics from Chops. I could just eat the scallops for every course. We made reservations the first night so glad now and won't order tater tots or corn. It still is not a bad deal imo. We even got a discount for the first night.

You do have some great photos.
