Cigar smoking on Princess

I enjoy an occasional cigar, tho' not so well received by the Mrs. I'll be on the Ruby just after Thanksgiving and the Emerald just after January 1. Do either of these ships have a place to smoke cigars? I recall in the past that some ships have a cigar lounge near or adjacent to the casino. As much as I enjoy the aroma of a good cigar is as much as I dislike cigarette smoke. thanx steve

I was on Ruby P. earlier this year and seem to remember it had a Speakeasy just as you go into the casino. I hope I'm not wrong on this, been on a lot of ships this year, only thing was that cigarette smokers did congregate in there specially on a formal night when its no smoking in the casino but the rest of the time as well as there isn't anywhere else for them to smoke nearby.

The cigarette smokers do tend to dash in and out and disturb those quiet contemplative hours we spend smoking just one cigar and engaging in worldchanging conversation.

I've just been on Caribbean P. which has a bar on deck 6 by the theatre where cigar smoking is permitted. Same thing applies, I was told that aft on deck 15 outside the buffet there were cigar smokers late at night and no one had complained. It is really I believe a cigarette smoking area.

We were on the Emerald this past January. Cigar and pipe smoking was limited to the Speakeasy Cigar Lounge on deck 6 next to the casino. The only indoor areas where smoking of any kind is allowed is the Speakeasy and the Casino (which is sometimes smoke free), so Speakeasy does get cigarette smokers. There were a few places outdoors where cigarette smoking was allowed, such as the promenade deck one small area aft on either the port or starboard side, can't remember, deck 15 horizon terrace port side, and a few additional areas. Cigar smoking is not officially allowed in these areas, but I have seen some passengers that do light up a cigar. No smoking of any kind in staterooms or on balconies.
