din2play2 Posted October 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Wondering if anyone has any information on Gem aft cabins on deck 8 & 10. Is there any difference in size of room or balcony, (#8634 #10668)? Which would you choose? There will be 3 of us traveling in April. Any input/comments you may have would be greatly appreciated - TY :)

I've seen differing opinions about the noise level from there, so I say go with deck 10.

AAAAmerican Posted October 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Dear din2play2, Having one as the lonely number, well you have lost that lonely times with three now. Eight , an even number.. but TEN , IMHO, is best for your query too as show here by the vast majority.. I purchased Two Deck 10 Cabins on our next one on NCL GEM. Like the US Boy Scout Motto.. ( BE PREPARED);) Wondering if anyone has any information on Gem aft cabins on deck 8 & 10. Is there any difference in size of room or balcony, (#8634 #10668)? Which would you choose? Nalagh Posted October 18, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Deck 10! Please stay far away from 8 as the music and vibrations in the cabin can last until 3 am.

Rare Turtles06 Posted October 18, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Everything has been said, but not everyone has said it. :) On the Jewel class ships, Deck 10 for sure (because the balconies are deeper), even without the added concern of having Bliss below Deck 8 on the Gem. spidybabe Posted October 18, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 18, 2014 Sorry no pictures. Cabin same size as others.....balcony much bigger. Three people should be fine. There are two beds *can be together or separate. And a sofa bed. Bathroom small but vanity area outside of bathroom in cabin area. Professor_MA Posted October 18, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 18, 2014 On the Jewel 10664 on ten the deck is huge. Two lounge chairs, two chairs and a table. No noise from cabins on nine or eleven. Third time we've had it and love it Sent from my iPhone using Forums

AAAAmerican Posted October 20, 2014 #16 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Dear Justaboutthere, It depends on many factors, WX, time of day, which way the ships is heading, etc..etc... ;) I'm considering a Caribbean cruise on NCL in April, and am wondering if Aft Cabins get any sun??? Brighton Line Posted October 20, 2014 #17 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Deck 10...hands down. Stay away from 8, even with the free ear plugs... I've been on 9 aft facing and visited 10 so that's where you should be!
