Cupcrazy Posted October 27, 2014 Author #201 Share Posted October 27, 2014 The best tasting patties! They have a few different types, but my favourite is the cheese with beef. Make sure you get it with cocobread, sooooooo good. The second I heard our itinerary was changing I said to myself PATTIES!!!! Cupcrazy Posted October 27, 2014 Author #202 Share Posted October 27, 2014 There are a couple vendors in the port who sell fresh coconuts. They will chop the top off and give you a straw so you can drink the water. TIP: Once you finish the water bring the coconut back to the vendor and they'll cut it open so you can eat the inside. styxfire Posted October 27, 2014 #203 Share Posted October 27, 2014 The background to "I like Big Butts" was horrible. Not close to the original...not the right notes, nor the right tempo. Kudos to your guy who tried it, but he was sabotaged by RCCL.

Cupcrazy Posted October 28, 2014 Author #207 Share Posted October 28, 2014 While Michelle & I spent time in & around the port Matt booked an excursion by himself. He went on The Bob Marley Experience. Hopefully Matt can come on here and post his thoughts of the excursion. He said he had a great time and it was a fantastic excursion. Here are some of his pictures... Link to Royal's Excursion

Cupcrazy Posted October 28, 2014 Author #213 Share Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) The reggae band was playing between the pools. They were out there playing quite a bit during the week. It was very relaxing to lay out by the pool listening to music. We actually fell asleep a couple times. Did you know the ship has a crane built on it? See that robot looking thing on the top right of the below picture? That's the crane. It was built on the ship the assist with raising and lowering mainly plant life into Central Park. Wipeout Cafe on deck 15 starboard side, serves both breakfast & lunch. For breakfast fried eggs and omelets are cooked to order. During lunch hours burgers, pizzas, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads, fruit and desserts are available. Self serve ice cream is also available. My favourite thing to get here are the hot dogs wrapped in a pretzel bun. When we got back to our cabin we noticed our friends had put a Just Married heart on our door. We aren't married or even engaged. Later in the week they did something else along the same line and this time the captain was involved. More on that later... Cupcrazy Posted October 28, 2014 Author #215 Share Posted October 28, 2014 That night we all had dinner at Chops. They weren't able to sit all 14 of us at one table so we sat as 8 & 6. We had no problem with that. Our waiter Ivo was great. He was fast and did Anna a huge favour. Anna really enjoys the Cucumber Martini available only at 150 Central Park. She asked Ivo if he was able to obtain the drink for her. Right away he walked across the park to 150 and came back a couple minutes later with the drink. He actually did this twice during the meal. Anna had purchased the premium beverage package but still had to pay $2 or so for each of the 2 martinis. If I remember correctly this was because it is an ultra premium drink. She can & will correct me if I'm wrong. Chops Menu Our table Cucumber Martini Buns Mushroom Soup Scallops Dungeness Crab and Shrimp Cake

Cupcrazy Posted October 28, 2014 Author #217 Share Posted October 28, 2014 When Ivo was giving us his recommendations he mentioned the Cheese N’ Onion (French Onion) soup is found to be very salty by a lot of people. i really like french onion soup so I decided to order it. I took one spoonful and almost spit it out. Ivo was right, IT WAS SALTY! Tuna 12oz NY Strip Side dishes. If you've been to Chops before and ordered the baked potato you'll remember that it was MASSIVE. You'll be saddened to know they don't serve the massive potatoes anymore. The reason is nobody ever finished them. Chocolate Melting Cake. It was good but nothing like Carnival's Warm Chocolate Melting Cake Last year for dessert I had the red velvet cake. It was delicious! This year I was very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed. It was good but not as good as I remembered. It was also a lot smaller. It was 1 layer smaller to be exact. styxfire Posted October 28, 2014 #219 Share Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Ultra premium drink? So, even after you've paid an extra lump-sum for special beverages, there are still some beverages that are SO special that you have pay ANOTHER extra for? Sorry dude, I'd take a cucumber from Windjammer and put it in my purse and cut it up as needed. I'm not into being milked like a goat. (or cow, or spider, etc.) My point is that that drink is a financial scam on the customer. Edited October 28, 2014 by styxfire

There are just a few drinks that go over that and some wines that do as well. This Cucumber Martini was the only one I encountered all week that was more than $12. It is 150 Park's signature cocktail. It wasn't a big deal and of course it wasn't just about the cucumber floating in the cocktail. I thought Ivo went above and beyond by going over to 150 Park to get me the martini!!

windjamming Posted October 28, 2014 #223 Share Posted October 28, 2014 Cupcrazy, I am so enjoying your review! You have a great talent for storytelling, and your group certainly gave you plenty of content, lol! Seriously, though, it's rare to read about such a great, fun group. I'm not surprised the waiter got you the cucumber martini from 150 CP! Looking forward to reading about the rest of your week!
