szdiver Posted October 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2014 Are the islands named differently for different cruise lines? I see CoCo Cay - RCCL Princess Cay - Princess Little Cay very confusing ...... can someone list the actual islands and what they are called for each cruise line and if some are the same but with different names? Thank you....
M&L-Colorado Posted October 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2014 Holland America - Half Moon Cay (actual map name - Little San Salvador) Princess - Princess Cay (not an island itself - an area on the extreme southeastern portion of Eleuthra) note that these two are only about 15 miles apart, with Half Moon Cay being to the east of Princess Cay also note that on Google Earth a cruise ship is anchored off of Princess Cay with a tender between others will have to cover the other private islands Mike

Thank you.... Always they are called by the same name even when two different cruise lines are using them. There are quite a few totally different private cruise ship islands all with their own name. Capt_BJ Posted October 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2014 Castaway Cay of DCL is navigationally Gorda Cay of the Bahamas Coco Cay of RCCL is Little Stirrup Cay on the charts .. Berry Islands, Bahamas I forget what NCL calls theirs but it is actually Great Stirrup Cay, next to Little' Labadee is not even an island, but rather a peninsula on the north coast of Haiti, cut off from the mainland by fence and security . . . Little Stirrup Cay is referred to as CocoCay by its owner, Royal Caribbean; however, when Carnival sails there they refer to it as Little Stirrup Cay on their itineraries as CocoCay is a registered trademark owned by RCI.
